Adlib Fashion: Dress in style, and with consciousness
We were invited to attend the Adlib fashion show, which has dressed the island for more than 45 summers. The show this time took place on 18th, 19th and 20th of May, in the incredible setting of the Ibiza Port.

Good news for those who, like us, love the typical Ibiza fashion style, which represents a relaxed and cheerful lifestyle and it is based on both natural and light fabrics.

This year the catwalk presented interesting proposals also for a more conscious and sustainable fashion approach. Sustainability is, in fact, increasingly taking a greater importance in the collective mind, even when deciding what to wear.

For example we saw Nanou Couture, an exponent of the sustainable fashion on the white island. This year she presented her “Genderless Etikology “collection. OCC certified organic cotton garments, both for women and men.

Another example was BSF man, which collection showed natural colors on organic cotton, made with a special technique to guarantee long lasting wears, joining the "slow fashion" stream.

This trend is based on utilize only quality garments so that consumers can use the clothes over the years, reducing in this way the amount of waste generated by it and cutting on the negative impacts the Fashion nowadays has on the environment.

Furthermore, we saw the classic Ibicenca shoes, called “Espardenyes”, walking the runway. These are handmade with only natural fibres such as jute and are designed by people like Lisa Lopez and Espardenyes Torres.

We are pleased to find a selection of ecological, sustainable and respectful options in these charming designs and we especially hope to see it growing over the coming years.

As Smilja Mihailovitc repeated in various occasions: "Dress as you like but with style" and, we say, with 'Style and Consciousness!
